Surrey County Council made a temporary closure order on Public Bridleway No. 444 (Worplesdon) by reason of danger to the public due to development works taking place adjacent to the footpath.

The Order came into operation on 30 October 2020 and was due to expire on 24 December 2020. It has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport for a second time until 30 April 2021 or completion of the works, whichever is earlier. Due to the latest lockdown utility works have been delayed.

The Secretary of State for Transport may extend this if necessary. The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays traffic signs prohibiting the said movements.
